I am getting the follow error message whenever I try to use apt or dpkg:

dpkg: error: parsing file '/var/lib/dpkg/status' near line 13272 package 'libavc1394-0:amd64':
field name '0remote' must be followed by colon

How can I fix this?

Hello! Which version of Ubuntu are you using? What command did you exactly run to produce this error message? Please [edit] to include all relevant details along with the output of `history 15` (so that we can know what commands did you recently ran; remove any personal or private info which you think is irrelevant) and `lsb_release -d` (so that we can know the version of ubuntu you are using).

Did you recently manually edited the `/var...` file? Seems like you have made a typo in it. Please [edit] to add the output of `ls /var/backup* | grep dpkg`.

Does this answer your question? [dpkg exit with error parsing file \`/var/lib/dpkg/status\`, what to do?](https://askubuntu.com/questions/343616/dpkg-exit-with-error-parsing-file-var-lib-dpkg-status-what-to-do)

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
