I currently want to increase the RAM of my desktop. I bought 8Gb, which appears on BIOS but does not appear in Ubuntu. I have tried changing the slots and ubuntu does not find the new one. Also the computer does not start if I only have the new RAM.
Hopefully you can shine some light on this problem.
