Unable to perform searches in software center

I can't seem to find thunar extensions. I search but the circle never stops spinning. Other searches are taking over 5 mins. I'm not sure what I am doing wrong?

If there was an easy or obvious way to make the software center run faster, don't you think that it would already be implemented in the software? You're really not giving us any information or details we can work with. It's also not clear what you're trying to do. Edit your question and include more context and details. What version and flavor of Ubuntu are you using? What are you trying to do? How do you reproduce the problem you are experiencing? If you think there's a problem with software and updates, add the output of `sudo apt update` and `sudo apt upgrade` to your question.

Again, if there was some obvious way to make the software run faster, it would already be implemented. Don't fall into the trap of the [XY Problem](https://meta.stackexchange.com/a/66378). It's easy to get distracted by a solution you think will work, but in this case it's not a real solution. Please [edit your question](https://askubuntu.com/posts/1391832/edit) with all of the requested information, including the output of both commands. Copy/paste exactly and completely and use [code fences](https://askubuntu.com/editing-help#code) to separate the blocks of output from surrounding text.

We need to know what's going on behind the scenes with your package management, so to troubleshoot this further, it's essential that we review the output of those commands.

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
