Screen blinking (turns on and off repeteadly) at 1440p 144Hz on Ubuntu

de flag

Windows works with no issues at 1440p 144Hz with free-sync premium enabled

The monitor turns on for a second then turns off for about 2 seconds and repeats. At 120Hz it works well though. But I really like to use my monitor's native refresh rate.

Settings also seem to detect wrongly my monitor as it says Samsung Electric company 32" But my monitor is only 27"

Also searched Samsung for monitor drivers turns out they only offer drivers for windows and mac.

My specs are

-Monitor Samsung Odyssey G5 27" LC27G55T

-i7 4790s with 16GB RAM

-R7 260X 2GB using Display-Port (Can't use HDMI since this GPU doesn't support HDMI 2.0)

-Ubuntu 20.04.03 LTS

The maker of the monitor has already said it only supports Windows and Mac nothing anyone here can do about that. Maybe ask Samsung.

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
