Ubuntu black screen on startup/boot

us flag

I have installed ubuntu version 21.10 on my virtual box and I have been having some issues getting it to work. After installing it successfully, whenever I boot it up from virtual box, I can never get it to work. 2 cases often happen. The first case is I am stuck on the screen with the ubuntu logo at the bottom and can not do anything no matter how long I wait.

The second case is that I am just stuck on a completely black screen after I log in and I am unable to do anything after that screen.

I have tried many solutions, I've tried installing different versions of ubuntu, I've tried increasing the video memory, I've tried increasing the cores. I have given the virtual machine 4 GB of RAM.

If anyone could help solve this issue I would really appreciate it as I need to get the virtual box to work for my class.

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
