Applications overview only shows the first characters of application names

do flag

I recently upgraded to Ubuntu 21.10 / Gnome 40.4.0 and everything looks great, except for the Applications Overview, which only displays the first few letters of each application. See here

I'm aware that many people are bothered by the Applications Overview not showing the full name of applications, and that some Extensions fix that issue, I believe that my issue is different, as it's even less than what the Applications Overview is supposed to show by default. I've tried disabling all Extensions to identify the source of the problem, but nothing changes.

Indeed different. Your icons appear smaller than expected. You may attempt to set all configuration to factory defaults for the Ubuntu desktop with the command `dconf reset -f /org/gnome/`. Warning: this may help or not help, but in any case will reset any of your customization to the desktop and gnome applications.

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
