How to re-enable AP mode on Broadcom wireless adapter

us flag

I have a problem: I have previously used the wifi adapter of my laptop, both on Ubuntu and Windows, to make hostpots, and am certain I've used AP mode before, but now on Ubuntu 20.04 I can't anymore. Running iw -list gives me

Supported interface modes
 * IBSS
 * managed

Running lspci -nn -d 14e4: gave me

04:00.0 Network controller [0280]: Broadcom Inc. and subsidiaries BCM43142 802.11b/g/n [14e4:4365] (rev 01)

and running ethtool -i wlp4s0 | grep driver gave me

driver:wl0

What do I do to re-enable AP mode?

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
