I have windows 11 with about 3gb on C:drive, and have 64GB flash drive, and have >1TB free on external hdd.

  1. can I install current LTS so that I have a duall boot system?
  2. I would like to have LTS system on flash drive. Is this possible?? **In reading your install procedure it does not tell me which parts of LTS are where**. If I install boot on flash drive, does that mean all LTS system files are on the flash?? What is the amt space needed on C: drive for the dual boot?? If I install usiing flash drive can I install programs like mail pgms on the flash drive also??

The minimum requirements for Ubuntu 20.04 LTS are clearly listed at https://ubuntu.com/download/desktop. ALL parts of the LTS are installed to a single partition unless you have the experience and skill to specify otherwise...but that's a complex and challenging task not suited for a beginner.

There is the flash drive installer which is a live system. You can boot it and use it for testing if it works on your system and if you like it. It is not updateable. You can add persistent storage on flash drive to save some info. Or you can do a full install from the live installer which can be a small flash drive as installer deletes entire drive, to a larger flash drive or external SSD. Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
