dvd burned from deVeDe iso does not autoplay

in flag

I have a playable mp4 of about 90 minutes from which I want to create a dvd.

On Ubuntu 16.04 desktop (20.04 upgrade pending) I am trying to use deVeDe to either directly burn a dvd or to produce an iso file for Brasero to burn.

In both cases the dvd fails to play when inserted on any one of a variety of desktops. In all cases DeVeDe reports no errors. DVDVIDEO/VIDEO_TS/VTS_02_1.VOB and movie/dvd_tree/VIDEO_TS/VTS_02_1.VOB will play the video when launched from the Files app.

The dvd contains the following files:
     1M DVDVIDEO/VIDEO_TS/VIDEO_TS.IFO
     1M DVDVIDEO/VIDEO_TS/VIDEO_TS.BUP
     1M DVDVIDEO/VIDEO_TS/VIDEO_TS.VOB
     1M DVDVIDEO/VIDEO_TS/VTS_01_0.BUP
     1M DVDVIDEO/VIDEO_TS/VTS_01_0.IFO
     1M DVDVIDEO/VIDEO_TS/VTS_01_1.VOB
     1M DVDVIDEO/VIDEO_TS/VTS_02_0.BUP
     1M DVDVIDEO/VIDEO_TS/VTS_02_0.IFO
     1M DVDVIDEO/VIDEO_TS/VTS_02_0.VOB
     1015M DVDVIDEO/VIDEO_TS/VTS_02_1.VOB

Here are the md5sum checksums of the files on the dvd and the corresponding files from the deVeDe movie directory:

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
