hiding company email password from employees working on emails?

ng flag

I would like to be able to let my customer service employee to answer the emails that come to company email address, but not give them the login password. This way the only place they can reach the emails would be on the Ubuntu desktop at work and this would help to keep confidential data safer compared to the situation they could access our emails from any device anywhere anytime and do things out of our control.

Is this possible, and if yes, how can I do it? I tried to use simply email client Evolution on the worker account, and when I make the settings it allows to save the password but then when I open the keyring app, it is easy to show the password.

Google and such have options to delegate account access to others. I guess you're running your own email servers?

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
