created unwanted 500GB data

id flag

I attempted to create a partition on my 1TB hard drive in order to install Windows as a dual boot system. It took more than 30 minutes after I selected a 500GB partition using the disks app. I was skeptical, the after about 45 mins it said my hardisk is 80% full. Then I checked there was 500GB less storage left but no such partition was created. Is there any workaround for that???? disk app screenshot

You can't install Windows to an ext4 partition. What is your rationale behind that? Why are you using Ubuntu to create partitions for a Windows installation?

From the information provided it’s impossible to see what you have done. In order to create a 500GB partition on your 1TB drive you would have to shrink the existing 1TB partition first. That is not how you prepare to install Windows if it’s being done after Ubuntu has been installed. Windows will create more than one partition and it can only be done if Ubuntu is installed in UEFI mode. Have a read of this guide https://itsfoss.com/install-windows-after-ubuntu-dual-boot/

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
