Problems with encrypted and lvm partitioning Ubuntu 22.04

pt flag

I just installed Ubuntu 22.04 and I have a problem. it did not automatically install cryptsetup and cryptsetup-initramfs packages. That means when I boot it jumps automatically to (initramfs) and it does not recognize any other partitions than /boot.

So it´s my partitioning:

-/nvme0n1p5 -- /boot -/nvme0n1p6 luks -6....crypt.

  • vg-root lvm
  • vg-tmp lvm
  • vg-var lvm
  • vg-swap lvm
  • vg-home lvm

I´m getting really frustrated trying to install the missing packages thru the live-USB following sites like. https://feeding.cloud.geek.nz/posts/recovering-from-unbootable-ubuntu-encrypted-lvm-root-partition/, it does not seem to work. Has anyone a good explanation of how can I have lvm-partitioning and encryption in Ubuntu 22.04? With Debian it worked perfectly.

I am writing this message really quickly, don´t hesitate to ask me if I missed information. Thanks

Did you install the desktop or the server? Please list the exact insulation steps if you used advanced options. In general, I do not recommend separate patients /volumes for tmp, var, swap for desktops.

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
