KVM switching back to Ubuntu 22.04 causes panic

rs flag

I just purchased a Ablewe 2 port HDMI KVM switch to toggle between an Ubuntu 22.04 laptop and another system. Everything is working, except when I switch from the other system to the Ubuntu 22.04 laptop, the system panics and drops me back into the login screen. I then have to re-login and restart any applications I may have been using.

Here are 3 messages from journalctl -k right around the time this happens:

Lockdown: systemd-logind: hibernation is restricted; see man kernel_lockdown.7

audit: type=1107 audit(1666016175.825:318): pid=841 uid=103 auid=4294967295 ses=4294967295 subj=unconfined msg='apparmor="DENIED" operation="dbu> exe="/usr/bin/dbus-daemon" sauid=103 hostname=? addr=? terminal=?'

xhci_hcd 0000:2c:00.0: xHC error in resume, USBSTS 0x401, Reinit

I've tried different cable configurations and video driver combinations.

The product/manufacturer from journalctl -k is:

USB 2.0 BILLBOARD / VIA Technologies Inc.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
