I have a Lenovo notebook (specs below) that I use connected to an external Asus monitor via an HDMI-HDMI cable. I run Ubuntu 22.04.1 LTS. I was using my monitor this morning and then disconnected my notebook to take it somewhere else. When I came back, I could no longer make it work with my monitor. I didn't make any updates or change any settings today. I couldn't make my computer display on my roommate's monitor either by using her HDMI-usb-c cable. I can now make the external monitor work if I start my computer on "Ubuntu, with Linux 5.15.0-50-generic" instead of the standard "Ubuntu, with Linux 5.15.0-52-generic". If you have any any ideas on what might be causing the issue or suggestions for troubleshooting, please, let me know. I feel point 2 below carries important information, but I am unsure how to interpret it.
I have added several details below that hopefully will be useful, though if some of them are not needed and others that are not available are needed, please, let me know so I can update the question accordingly.

1. More details on how I can make the monitor work:
When I start the computer, a menu shows up, instead of going with the first entry that says "Ubuntu", I choose the next one "Advanced Settings for Ubuntu". Then a new menu shows up with the following options:
- Ubuntu, with Linux 5.15.0-52-generic
- Ubuntu, with Linux 5.15.0-52-generic (recovery)
- Ubuntu, with Linux 5.15.0-50-generic
- Ubuntu, with Linux 5.15.0-50-generic (recovery)
The monitor works when I choose the third option, but not when I choose the first one.
2. Error messages during initialization:
Independently of which version I choose (Ubuntu, with Linux 5.15.0-52-generic or Ubuntu, with Linux 5.15.0-50-generic), I get the following text/error messages when the computer is initiating:
