Ubuntu froze, rebooted and stuck on black screen since, even recovery mode doesn’t get past the black screen. No errors, I didn’t do any updates or anything that affects the system when it happened.

I also tried grub command line mode but couldn't find any useful commands online that could help me get back into my system? Why did this happen all of a sudden and how could I possibly run diagnostics without reinstalling the entire OS? I have a deadline tonight..

try ctrl-alt-f3 to enter a terminal, and then `startx`. What errors do you get (if any)? Is your graphics driver an issue (what video card)? once you're in a console, can you get dmesg logs and paste at pastebin.ubuntu.com, then [edit](https://askubuntu.com/posts/1436426/edit) your question to add a link?
I sit in a Tesla and translated this thread with Ai:

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
