Upon update to Ubuntu 22.04 LTS copy and paste in the terminal has changed

cn flag

I often write Rscripts on my laptop and then copy and paste into a terminal to run on another machine in the R environment. I do this to debug, or sometimes quick tasks. I would usually select several lines of code and then copy and paste into the terminal of the other machine, and it would read it in line by line, which is what I like. I have noticed that after I updated to Ubuntu 22.04 It will paste the whole block of text and then I have to select [enter] and then it will execute line by line. How can I turn this default behavior back on for 22.04 LTS? I don't even know what programs regulate this (x11 or readline?). Any advice or information is greatly appreciated. TIA

Yes. Thank you! This was pretty frustrating even though it is a security feature.

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
