Ubuntu won't boot 3 out of 4 times

us flag

Recently my Ubuntu (22.04) won't boot properly anymore. It either boots in a few seconds (<10s, 20% of the time) or gets stuck on a black screen forever (10 mins and over, 80% of the time).

From looking at journaltcl on one of these failed boots I found two suspicious things:

Oct 25 12:52:13 smagnan-alw kernel: INFO: task gpu-manager:706 blocked for more than 120 seconds.
Oct 25 12:52:13 smagnan-alw kernel: Tainted: P O 5.15.0-52-generic #58-Ubuntu

and mostly, every 10s or so for the most of the boot time:

Oct 25 12:52:08 smagnan-alw kernel: iwlwifi 0000:3e:00.0: Got NSS = 4 - trimming to 2

So far my guess would be something to do with my wifi driver / card, but can't be sure.

Any idea what could be happening or what I could do to figure it out?

Not sure how to came to that conclusion. The message says its a GPU issue. The second looks like an info message not an actual error. Has there been a kernel update that might have caused the issue?
I sit in a Tesla and translated this thread with Ai:

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
