20.04 Discord restarts when reopened half the time, despite actively running in the background

The title says most of it. This issue essentially with the "minimize to system tray" feature which I understand does not really have parity with how things work in Windows. That said, the Windows-like behavior of minimizing to the system tray, and then maximizing, does work.

However, in 50% or more of cases, clicking the taskbar icon or selecting "Open Discord" via the AppIndicator icon menu will cause the app to restart completely.

If this is a Discord issue and not an Ubuntu issue that would be good information to have as well, so I can raise the issue there. I'm just surprised nobody else has complained about it, and I've googled pretty extensively with various keywords.

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
