How can I change MariaDB to MySQL in XAMPP on Ubuntu OS?

cz flag

I just realized that xampp(lampp) on my Ubuntu device has the MariaDB as Server type.

I'm going to change the MariaDB Server type to MySQL, so I found these two similar article: https://stackoverflow.com/a/58973750/9246297

https://gist.github.com/alfhh/92ae13b2592ac654cfe924319259136f

But in my case I have the /opt/lampp/mysql that just have /opt/lampp/mysql/scripts/ctl.sh file. There is not bin and my.ini.

So how is that possible to change the Server type from MariaDB to MySQL in XAMPP

Why do you want to change it? MariaDB works as a drop-in substitute for MySQL for many(most) things. And the point of XAMPP is that you get a pre-configured stack, and don't have to install and configure everything separately. If you want specific versions/etc, install all the components (Apache, MySQL, PHP) yourself.

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
