File system/boot/grub & sda's all show empty

so flag

I am a completely lost newb to Linux. I've looked at this from the terminal side and now the gui side.

I have a Acer Aspire M3470G, A6 Quad Core, 2.20 Ghz, 4Gb ram, 300 Gb HD, UEFI 64 bit. It wouldn't boot, I've ditched MS and going for a LinuxMint 21 only system on it.

I have been trying to do a solo install of mint for 2 months. Tried 4 different downloaded iso's, none would reboot after installs. I finally ordered the usb stick version from the linux store, same problem. I've tried 4 installs so for. It seems to be working with the usb. Right now boot repair's response is:

Could not unhide grub menu in sda2/boot/grub/grub.cfg
Error creating mount point/media/mint/casper-rw1':input/output error

An Error occured during the repair
Error: NVram is locked (Linuxmint not found in efibootmgr).

My findings show sda1, sda2 & sda3 are all empty. File system/boot/grub is empty.

It's not setup for internet connection yet, one problem at a time.

While Mint may be based on Ubuntu, we do not know what changes it made. It is not an official flavor of Ubuntu. This is an Ubuntu & Ubuntu official flavors question & answer site. You should ask an the Mint forum.
I sit in a Tesla and translated this thread with Ai:

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
