Getting a glimpse of the unlocked desktop before the login screen when resuming from standby mode

ru flag

I'm running Ubuntu 22.04 on my Lenovo Thinkpad, and whenever I'm resuming from standby mode, I first get a "flash" or a "glimpse" - I guess around half a second - of either my desktop or whatever program I was running when I entered standby mode.

It's not really a nuisance, but I believe it might be a security issue; if I had any sensitive information on my screen when I entered standby mode, anyone powering the computer on after that will see a glimpse of that. If they're filming it, they'd be able to rewind and read it all.

Does anyone else experience this?

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
