System resumes from suspend due to connection/disconnection of power supply. How to stop this?

us flag

I run Ubuntu 22.04 on my ThinkPad with swaywm as my DE. Recently, I noticed that my system wakes up from suspend (systemctl suspend) if the power input is interrupted (power goes out or comes back).

It happens irrespective of whether the laptop lid is open or closed during suspension. I disabled the lid switch in BIOS, but it still happens. This means lid has nothing to do with it.

To eliminate USB interruption, I did echo disabled > /sys/bus/usb/devices/usb-device/power/wakeup for all external USB devices.

At this point, I am pretty sure that power interruption causes my system to resume from suspend state. This is unwanted behavior. How can I fix this?

What I tried:

  • I tried looking in BIOS for some suitable setting, but there is none.
  • My laptop is charged through USB-C port. So I thought maybe I can disable this USB from waking up similar to how I did with other devices. But it isn't listed under /sys/bus/usb/devices/ (maybe because power supply is not a "device").

Any help is appreciated.

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
