Machine unresponsive to input after upgrading from 20.04 to 22.04

tk flag

I just upgraded from Ubuntu 20.04 LTS to 22.04 with the Software Updater.

The process completed and now I see the jellyfish desktop, but I can't actually click anything and keyboard shortcuts do nothing as well.

I am very inexperienced with Ubuntu. I've only used it a few times (VBox) for programming assignments for school.

Did you reboot? Can you get to a tty (Ctrl + Alt + F2)? Have you tried another keyboard? Another port?

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
