Issue converting from StrongSwan ipsec to swan-ctl

mg flag

I'm trying to migrate my configuration from ipsec/stroke to swanctl/vici. I installed the stronswan-swanctl plugin on my server, which was previously set up with ipsec.

After creating/migrating the conf files, I went to load the configuration, but received this error:

sudo swanctl --load-all connecting to 'unix:///var/run/charon.vici' failed: No such file or directory Error: connecting to 'default' URI failed: No such file or directory strongSwan 5.9.5 swanctl

How do I resolve this issue? Server is Jammy / 22.04

Make sure the IKE daemon is running and that it has the the _vici_ plugin loaded.

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
