Ubuntu unable to install latest Nodejs version

I tried to install nodejs 16 but I keep getting older version

first

$ sudo apt install -y curl

then

$ curl -fsSL https://deb.nodesource.com/setup_16.x | sudo -E bash -

then whein I install nodejs:

 sudo apt install -y nodejs
