Ubuntu 22.04 on iMac5,1 graphics problem

cn flag

Installed Ubuntu 22.04 on an iMac5,1. This isn't straightforward as this machine is a bit of a lemon -- it's a 64-bit Core2Duo but has 32-bit EFI. Thankfully, Matt Gadient's pathced installer worked.

Well, nearly. There's this strange cyan strip at the top of the screen. Windows appear over it completely normally.

Did you try changing the display resolution? Also, are there any proprietary drivers listed under "Additional Drivers" tab in software sources?
I sit in a Tesla and translated this thread with Ai:

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
