How can I change the GNOME recent file history duration for more than 30 days (Ubuntu 22.04)

dk flag

Is it possible to change GNOME file history for a duration longer than 30 days, the longest option on the GUI apart from forever, which sounds overkill? It could be via GUI or via bash/zsh/terminal.

I searched Ubuntu and Gnome docs and couldn't find any information about it, and all the search results in Ask Ubuntu show questions and answers on how to disable it. Most of them pointing to deleting or changing permissions of the recently-used.xbel file. But none mentions how to change the number of entries added to the file or entries "lifetime".

Thanks.

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
