lvm volume group issues w/ ubuntu 22.04

bl flag

I have triple boot system, bios raid 0, with windows, fedora 33 and ubuntu 20.04. the fedora and ubuntu are on lvms. Everything was working. Then I upgraded the ubuntu install to 22.04. Booting into ubuntu now fails:

Volume group "fedora_vive" not found
Cannot process volume group fedora_vive
...
Gave up waiting for root file system device.
...
(initramfs)

I've tried booting into a 22.04 live usb, and I cannot see the volume group. vgscan returns nothing. Also fdisk -l shows partial information. gparted shows partitions but again incomplete info.

However, I can boot into Fedora 33 and see and work with volume group and lvms. fdiosk -l shows all info as expected. I think the lvms are intact and fine. I think there's an issue with ubuntu 22.04.

My lvm volumes are not encrypted.

My ultimate goal is to get 22.04 to boot. My more immediate goal is to be able to see and work with the lvms in ubuntu 22.04 live.

Any help?

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
