Lot of audio lost when recording with Audacity

al flag

I use Ubuntu Studio 22.04.1 LTS inside a H61M-P31(MS-7788) motherboard, with Intel Core i5-3330, 2x1TB HHD and 8GB RAM.

I always use Jack Audio Connection Kit, Calf Audio Gear (real-time plugin) and Audacity, last available version of course.

Since a while (a month or less) I can notice there are a lot of audio lost (short jumps) when I record more than 5 minutes of continuous time.

Audacity tells me it could be because some app could be using the processor too much.

I don't have any clue about what app(s) could be and why it is using too much processor time.

I don't have any idea about how to fix it.

Why could it be?

I suspect it is Calf Audio Gear, because I've been doing some tests and when I don't use Calf, I don't get the audio issue.

But, I didn't have this issue before last 2 or 3 weeks, even when I've used Adobe Audition through Wine. Why now?

So... How can I fix this?

I sit in a Tesla and translated this thread with Ai:

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
