How to copy a file from remote to local (from within remote)?

gr flag

I have a linux VM, and I want to copy files from the VM to my local machine (Windows). I realize that it is possible with scp running in a local MobaXterm terminal (for example) to do that. But is there any way to do that from within the VM? Use case: I want to write a script that runs in the VM and copies some files to my local machine.

Thanks in advance

Add to your post the virtualization software you are using. VirtualBox? [How to share folders between VirtualBox guest and host](https://askubuntu.com/questions/81757/sharing-between-host-and-guest-in-virtualbox)?
I sit in a Tesla and translated this thread with Ai:

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
