Remote desktop while hiding host display 22.04

I enabled ubuntu's default rdp. When I connect from another computer, while I can see and control the computer as desired, anyone walking by my computer can watch what I'm doing or grab the keyboard and mouse and take over. Is it possible to show a lockscreen to people nearby my actual computer while I'm using it remotely?

I tried using xrdp but I can no longer resume using an application I started remotely when I get home and vice versa.

Is there a toolset that enables this workflow?

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
