Ubuntu on Gen 1 Hyper-V machine cannot boot after upgrade 22.04

sg flag

A few days ago, by mistake, I upgraded an Ubuntu instance to 22.04 on a Gen 1 .vhdx VM, which left the system unbootable.

I Have these errors:

Slide 1 Slide 2

My problem is that I have mysql databases in this machine and I don't have backups of theses databases.

By the way, I was able to mount the .vhdx file on another machine and recover the files but I could not get the databases working after moving the data files (mysql.ibd and ibdata1) to a new mysql instance. I get this type of error when I try to use the tables: "InnoDB: Tablespace is missing for table otobo/users".

Can anyone sugest what (if anything) can I do to recover the database in a usable state / or how to make the VM bootable again?

I tried to use a live ubuntu ISO, parted and boot repair but could not get the machine to boot.

Thanks for your attention. Rafael

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
