Noobie here, I am using acer extensa 215-52. I installed ubuntu alongside windows for the first time and I am getting this error on my first boot. this missing module type issue
I have previously encountered a problem with the ubuntu installation. the ubuntu usb stick I created wasn't detecting my only one HDD installed on this laptop. I tried several threads looking for answer but couldn't find it. At the end, it seemed that pressing the sleep button and loging back into ubuntu while the live usb is connected made ubuntu detect my hdd. So I normally went to the 'something else' option, created EFI(750mb), swap area(12000mb), ext4 /(30000mb) and installed ubuntu on my laptop. Then after all that problems with hdd detection I know encounter this issue showed on the picture above on my first boot. I have also tried these kernels or modes(I am not sure what you call them actually) showed in this picture. (Sorry for my bad camera) They show the same missing module thing at the end.
I also tried changing the UUID=0bc... on grub to /dev/sdb7 which is my / for linux. But I still get the same problem. It would be nice to get a solution of this. thanks in advance if someone answers.
Edit: Yes, the uuid is the actual one for root. I checked it by the live usb ubuntu. and no, I didn't try the rest of the things you said. Things are confusing me bit as I am new here.
