Inout/output error when writing to SD card connected via a camera

cn flag

So I have my camera connected to the computer, and have been able to access the files located on the SD card. I can view them, I can copy them, and I can even delete them. However, I cannot write to the card.

The location appears to be gphoto2://Canon_Inc._Canon_Digital_Camera, and I found this actually located at /run/user/1000/gvfs/gphoto2:host=Canon_Inc._Canon_Digital_Camera.

Permissions are fine:

drwx------ 1 user user 0 Jan 1 1970 'gphoto2:host=Canon_Inc._Canon_Digital_Camera'

drwx------ 1 user user 0 Jan 1 1970 DCIM
drwx------ 1 user user 0 Jan 1 1970 MISC

I try to create a directory and I get mkdir: cannot create directory ‘test’: Input/output error

I try to create a file and I get touch: setting times of 'test': Operation not supported

I cannot find this mounted using lsblk

Honestly, I have no idea where to go from here.

OS: Ubuntu 20.04.5 LTS

Edit: I have just noticed the date modified is Jan 1 1970. Don't know whether that means anything.

I sit in a Tesla and translated this thread with Ai:

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
