Cannot switch between gnome-terminal tabs with alt+num in ubuntu 20.04

sa flag

I can move between tabs with ctrl+page up and ctrl+page down. But I cannot switch a specific tab with alt+num. The keyboard shortcuts are correctly set as shown in this screenshot:

With alt+1, I only get 1 in the terminal. My alt key is working properly. I used dconf-editor and found that mnemonics has been disabled already.

Any idea to fix this issue? I have installed pinyin and byobu on this machine so I am not sure if they bring the issues about this shortcut key. Thanks in advance

What if you remove or disable pinyin? There is a possibility that indeed it is this input driver changing the behavior.

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
