USB 3.0 ports not working after suspend, ubuntu 22.04

sd flag

I have installed Ubuntu 22.04 on HP victus 16, and encountered problem that after suspend mode all USB 3 ports stop working (i dont have usb 2.0 ports). Consequently cant use mouse. After suspend if i use "lsusb" command it doesnt show mouse, it only shows Linux Foundation 3.0 (2.0) root hub. Answers from same problems didnt work out for me: changing line

GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet splash usbcore.autosuspend=-1"

in grub file didnt work. Using usbreset didnt work too. I dont have laptop-mode-tools installed.

more likely a hardware/bios problem when communicating with the kernel than an issue with the operating system. Friend had a system like that (but iirc not a 16) that did that on windows too; she could return it ;-) I would suggest to try 22.10 if possible and otherwise to not use suspend. Maybe get an ssd and use a normal shutdown ? (7,8,9 seconds boot should be quick enough to be able to live w/o suspend ;) )

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
