dmesg shows a significant gap between 3.8 and 92.9. Coincidentally, I no longer have analog audio available, only SPDIF audio, though I do not know if that is actually working. USB headphones are detected but no audio is heard when speaker test is run.
The machine was my daily driver for years and was upgraded to 22.04 with no detected problems months ago. I have moved the system to another enclosure where it worked normally. The problem only surfaced after testing a legacy GPU board. That board has been removed and the problem persists. The MP is P8Z77-I with an Intel i5-3570K and now integrate graphics.
