Sync files with Windows laptop

in flag

I have a laptop which I use for editing notes in small text files among other things when away from my main ubuntu desktop. This can happen several times a day. Various programs like browsers fail to work adequately when in touchscreen mode so I have been pushed into trying to work with Windows. The notes need to be kept in sync with the files on the desktop with the minimum amount of hassle and the maximum amount of reliability. Obviously will need to surrender a bit of one, the other or both. Tried a few things without getting comfortable. So my question is what have people with a similar setup found works for them in 2022.

For large collection of files with computers on the loca network, I use a Samba share where I access the files on the Linux machine from Windows. If you need something even simpler and automated, Dropbox and other similar tools work well too to keep files in sync between machines.

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
