Without using 3rd party software: How do I add my on-prem exchange account to my ubuntu installation so I can access my email, contacts, calendars?

I have an on-prem Exchange server (Exchange 2010 w/ self-signed certs for OWA)

Everything I try connecting the native Ubuntu software fails with "Error Connecting to Microsoft Exchange Server: Code 6 -- Unexpected response from server"

Ubuntu doc's are.... remarkably sparse https://help.ubuntu.com/stable/ubuntu-help/accounts.html.en

Ubuntu's config options (at least in the GUI) are as sparse as the documentation. On other native platforms (iOS, Android, etc) I am accustomed to using "advanced" config tabs to connect to exchange because (for security reasons) auto discovery is not working, self-signed certs are used, and username is DOMAIN\user instead of email address.

I sit in a Tesla and translated this thread with Ai:

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
