Cannot change keyboard language during rename a folder action

ml flag

I want to rename a folder in Japanese. However, when I right-click the folder and choose 'rename', the keyboard language goes back to English while it was initially set as Japanse (Mozc) keyboard. Further, usually, you can see your keyboard language on the top-right corner of the display (next to the icons of battery, sound, wifi etc.), but during the renaming of a folder, the icon of the language keyboard completely disappears. I have no idea why and how this can happen. If anybody has any thoughts, It would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Reply to matigo's comments: (0) My Ubuntu version: Ubuntu 22.04.1 LTS (1) file manager: default one (2) potential cause: I have literally no idea. The major change I made to my Ubuntu which I can come up with is changing the shell from bash to zsh.

I use both English and 日本語 on a regular basis with both 20.04 and 22.04, but cannot duplicate the issue in the default file manager. Could you [edit] your question to include: (0) the version of Ubuntu you're using (1) which file manager you're using (2) any other information about your setup that might help someone replicate the issue

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
