"Lock" option missing from gnome control center top right panel

ru flag

Recently I noticed that the "lock" option had gone from this menu. Above these options are network, and then a bar for sound and brightness. I reinstalled gnome-control-center to no avail (and I did restart). I am hoping to find where the layout of this settings menu is stored and modify it to continue showing the lock option (as well as add other settings if possible).

I also followed the recommendations from this answer (looking for a duplicate .desktop file) which was not present.

Super + L not working on ubuntu 20.04

Leaving this open since it's tangential to a previously asked question but different. This fixed it.

I sit in a Tesla and translated this thread with Ai:

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
