Files no longer works properly after installing Jammy Jellyfish (22.04)

lr flag

I've just upgraded to Ubuntu 22.04.1 LTS and my files manager is impaired. It automatically closes itself when not active and reverts to the default window. Previously I was able to open several tabs in files manager, go to different file locations, do something in another program, return to files manager and find the window as I had left it. This is no longer possible.

It is very time consuming to have to recreate the path to the desired location anew, every time.

Is there any advice on how to fix this?

Thank you.

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
