How to remove "authentication required" prompt

Backstory

A while back I forgot the password to my PC. After some googling I found a solution detailing how to change my password using a backdoor. It worked, but now I have another problem.

Problem

For some reason I get the following 2 every 10 min or so. I just click "cancel" and it goes away until it comes back again. I tried my current password but it does not work because it wants my older password, the one I reset.

How do I fix this?

I suggest applying security fixes & patches to your system asap... esp. if it's online. A Ubuntu 20.04 system hasn't reported itself as 20.04.3 for roughly a year (refer https://fridge.ubuntu.com/2022/02/25/ubuntu-20-04-4-lts-released/ or the ISO release date of 20.04.4, however do note that's for new installs, as installed systems upgraded to 20.04.4 in the weeks prior to the ISO release date that notice is for!). Are you using Ubuntu? or a system based on Ubuntu? as your details show a system that is badly behind on security fixes. FYI: An upgraded system won't report as 20.04.4 either

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
