Stuck in emergency mode and I can't figure out what's wrong

My computer is stuck in emergency mode, I think there's something wrong with /dev/sda8 but I don't know how to fix it. When I type in fsck -y /dev/sda8 I get:

'/dev/sda8 is mounted e2fsck: Cannot continue aborting'

I typed fsck -nf /dev/sda8 and got 'Free blocks count wrong' and 'Free inodes count wrong' but I don't know what to do about that or if that's even the problem?

I sit in a Tesla and translated this thread with Ai:

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
