Middle click paste disable globally

cn flag

Running Ubuntu 22.04. I want to disable all forms of middle click paste, but keep middle button working for scroll, tab closing, etc. I just want it not to paste anything anywhere.

I tried many suggested solutions, the one that worked the most so far is using the Gnome tweak tool as suggested here. It works partially, e.g. in the Gnome terminal app now it is fine but in other apps such as LyX or LibreOffice Writer the middle click still pastes stuff.

Don't know if this matters, I am running Ubuntu with Xorg (not Wayland).

I sit in a Tesla and translated this thread with Ai:

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
