Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have
requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable
distribution that some required packages have not yet been created
or been moved out of Incoming.
The following information may help to resolve the situation:

The following packages have unmet dependencies:

 grub-efi-arm64-signed : Depends: grub-efi-arm64 (= 2.06-2ubuntu10) but 2.06-2ubuntu14 is to be installed
E: Broken packages

I tried various suggestions from other posts but success

any ideas

Does this answer your question? [Unable to correct problems, you have held broken packages](https://askubuntu.com/questions/223237/unable-to-correct-problems-you-have-held-broken-packages)

Update your question with the output of `sudo dpkg -l | grep '^.[^i]'`

Well, nothing there. Let's see if we find something with `sudo dpkg -l | grep '^[^i]'` . And please delete the answer and update in your question.

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
