problem with SUNDIALS v6.5.0

me flag

Following instructions found in INSTALL_GUIDE.pdf:

  1. Download and unzip
  2. Copy to the default directory /usr/local
  3. Make directories INSTDIR and BUILDDIR
  4. cmake

but the following error occurred:

CMake Error at sundials/CMakeLists.txt:76 (add_prefix):
Unknown CMake command "add_prefix"

cmake version 3.25.2

pl flag
I managed to grab the tarball, unpack it, then `mkdir build`, `cd build`, `cmake ../` and `make` and it all built okay. What happens when you do that? Without copying any files around or setting any directories other than `build` as I did?
I sit in a Tesla and translated this thread with Ai:

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
