No sound in Ubuntu Desktop 22.10 with Asrock TRX40 Creator

bf flag

After reading several old posts about this issue I can't find a solution for this. The sound tries to come out through the NVIDIA cards I have but no option to choose another output.

I am using 22.10 Ubuntu Desktop.

I read several articles in this forum, old ones, but it's out of my understanding.

What I can see is that the output device is set only to my display ports where NVIDIA cards are plugged. I guess I need to say Linux my output device should be the motherboard integrated sound card but I don't know how to deal with it.

The motherboard audio card is listed as 2e:00.4 Audio device: Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. [AMD] Starship/Matisse HD Audio Controller

But I don't know how to tell linux this.

Anyone could please lead me to valid info to solve this issue?

Are you using Ubuntu? There was no release of Ubuntu in 2022-January (22.01). Given Ubuntu uses a *year.month* format with 2000 subtracted from the year, 01 = January, with 10 = October. You've provided no specifics as to what troubleshooting you performed from official documentation or elsewhere (*was your card recognized by the linux kernel?*). Please correct your question & as specific as possible.

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
