How to remove PHP previous versions installed in Ubuntu Server

bf flag

I have initially installed php7.2 but bcz of the change required I have upgraded the php version to 8.1 this leads to an error in accessing the application

Composer detected issues in your platform: Your Composer dependencies require a PHP version ">= 8.1.0".

After reading couple of solution, I tried to uninstall the earlier version i.e php7.2, when i used the command sudo apt-get purge php7.* to uninstall surprisingly many versions have installed instead of removing the 7.2 version.

Can someone help me, how I can resolve this issue? I only need PHP8.1.

Hi, thanks for your time. i know nothing about php actually. i just wanted to have a php installeded in a ubuntu server. so i installed it using the command "sudo apt install php7.2 " later upgraded to 8.1 and when i tried to uninstall 7.2, i used a cmd mentioned in my question. instead of uninstalling many versions of php were installed.

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
