Route incoming traffic through VPN

cn flag

I'd like to use NordVPN services on my Apple TV; since the device does not support VPN apps; I am left with two choices, use a "Smart" DNS - or add VPN at the router.

Unfortunately, my Unify controller does not make it easy to have a VPN and I have given up on that route. So I am using a DNS from NordVPN.

However, that only works sometimes and not for all apps.

My next thought was, to do the following:

  • Setup an Ubuntu VM on a Windows Server I am running
  • Setup NordVPN on the Ubuntu VM
  • Setup routing so that any incoming traffic to the VM on eth0 goes out to tun0 (VPN)
  • Point Apple TV to Ubuntu VM IP address (Which would be the same as the Windows Server IP)

Is this possible? I have tried following some guides and just ended up breaking the Ubuntu VM that - or the Apple TV would get no internet connection.

Appreciate any help in this regard.

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
